Itinerary:

We will meet at the ferry docks, and take the next ferry to Centre Island, and then go skating on the paved, car-free, level paths.

Our goal is to skate from one part of the island, to the other... and then back again. In total, we'll do about 12 kilometres. (Or, we'll just keep going, and do as much as we can before it gets dark!)

This midweek skate is primarily for novice to intermediate skaters -- so if you're a very advanced skater, you'll might find our pace a little bit too slow, but you are still welcome to come across to the island with us and meet up when done.

Notes:
1. Rentals will not be arranged for this trip. You should have your own inline skates, or be able to borrow someone else's in order to participate.
2. It's likely that there will be some falls on this trip. Helmets are mandatory. Knee pads, elbow pads, and wristguards are recommended unless you're an expert skater.

After the return ferry trip from the island back to the city, there is a possibility of meeting for drinks afterwards, downtown.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This trip is weather dependent! The trip will be cancelled if it is raining, as the paths will be wet and slippery, which is neither safe nor ideal for our inline skate event. If you sign up for this event, please do check your e-mail on Monday evening (after the registration cut-off) for final confirmation of the trip.
