Itinerary:
The Uproot Uprise! Help Control the Spread of Invasive Species!

After an information session and demonstration by staff from the Credit Valley Conservation Authority, we will pulling and disposing of Garlic Mustard – a very invasive understory ground cover in the forested areas of Rattray Marsh Conservation Area.

Come out and put some muscle and sweat behind your love for the environment!

What to wear/bring: Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable work clothes (that you don't mind getting dirty), pants are recommended because we will be working off trail. Sturdy footwear is a must - NO OPEN TOED SHOES OR CROCS - if you are not wearing appropriate footwear, you will not be allowed to participate in the event. Also, if you have work/gardening gloves, please bring them with you (for those who don’t, there will be some available on site). Sunscreen, a hat, bug spray, water and snacks are also great ideas. This event will go forward rain or shine [I'm just waiting on confirmation from Heather on this]

PLEASE NOTE: The subway does not start running until later in the morning on Sunday. The 96 Wilson, 320 Yonge and the 321 York Mills buses will deliver you to York Mills station around 8am. Please check your bus/blue light schedule to plan your trip to the carpool location.

FOR DRIVERS: The Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner Expressway will be closed for the Becel Ride for Heart. Please plan accordingly.
