Midweek Walk: Don Valley Hills & Moore Ravine (4/8/2009)

Itinerary:
We will follow this path:
  1. Depart from Castle Frank Subway Station
  2. Take down the Rosedale Valley
  3. Cross the Necropolis Cemetery
  4. Pass Riverdale Farm
  5. Take the path leading to Chester Springs Mash
  6. Cross under the Prince Edward viaduct
  7. Follow the pass until Todmorden Mills
  8. Take Broadview avenue down.
  9. Complete the loop around Riverdale Park
  10. Cross the Prince Edward viaduct
  11. Arrive back to Castle Frank
  12. Continue by Castle Frank Road until Craigleigh Gardens
  13. Enter the Ravine and follow it to Brickworks
  14. Follow Moore Ravine all the way north
  15. Exist at the pedestrian Bridge at Health Street
  16. Walk towars St. Clair Subway Station
We will be walking between 3.5 and 4 km per hour.

Some part of the trail will be muddy

We will not have sunlight during all the trail, remember to bring your frash-light

IMPORTANT: Please sign-un for this event ONLY if you are a WEATHER-Proof hiker. This event will run under the sun, the rain or the snow. We are in spring, that means showers. You must have a 100% commitment of assisting this event regardless of weather conditions.

  • Good hiking footwear
  • Water
  • Waterproof jacket, poncho, umbrela
  • Flashlight

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Castle Frank subway station is located at 600 Bloor East. There is only one exit (Castle Frank Road), look for the group, we will meet just passing the turnstiles.
