Itinerary:
We will cycle from the Bloor/St. George subway station (from the St. George St. exit, not the Bedford Rd. exit) to the Beach. On the way back, we will take the Don Valley bike path north until we get to Rosedale Valley Road, which we will take to get back to the Bloor/St. George subway station.

The ride will be at a moderate pace, as we will have to cope with pedestrians along the waterfront and the Don Valley bike path. The ride will be most challenging when we are taking the Rosedale Valley Road back to St. George, as there is a fairly steep hill to climb. You will need a bike with some lower gears in order to make it up that hill. You should sign up for this event only if you have experience riding on streets with busy traffic, as for portions of this ride you will be riding alongside vehicles in high-traffic areas.

Note: All participants in this event must ride with caution on city streets and obey all traffic lights and rules of the road.

Following the ride, which should take no more than about 4 hours, participants will be invited to join the event organizer at one of the local pubs for some food and refreshments.

Required Items to Bring:
Well-maintained bike and bike helmet (mandatory); bike lock; one spare tire tube and air pump (in case of a flat tire); suitable clothing for riding in cooler temperatures (it will be chilly along the waterfront)--layers are good as you can always add or remove a layer; bike gloves, in these temperatures, are still a necessity.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Strongly recommended: Front and rear bike lights and a fluorescent vest, so that you will be visible while riding in traffic.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:St. George St. (at the Bloor-St. George Subway station, where both subway lines intersect).

Notes:
If you are coming to this event by car, then you can park for 5-6 bucks for the afternoon in the parking lot on the south side of the apartment building at 276 St. George St., north of Bernard Ave. and south of Dupont St.
