Humber River Trail (3/8/2009)

Itinerary:
Spring is coming, so be prepared to hike under showers. We will be departing from High Park, and then follow the Humber River trail to the north, hopefully until the Humber Arboretum, where we will take TTC buses

Be prepared, we could find some icy/muggy parks of the trails.

The coordinator has not done this entire trail, so it will be expected to get a little bit lost (hopefully not too much), that is part of the Adventure :-)

Please only sign to this hike if you can hike at 4k peace for a total of 30km. This will NOT BE an EASY walk.


Required Items to Bring:
  • Waterproof jacket (high chances of showers)
  • Appropiated weather clothes
  • LUNCH
  • 2L of Water
  • Good hiking shoes

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Traveling by subway you get of at the High Park Subway station on the Bloor line. Go to High park avenue and turn right(south). Cross Bloor and enter park I will be there around the Map sign.

Traveling by car going east bound on QEW get off at Lakeshore and turn north on Parkside Drive. Traveling west on QEW/Gardiner get of at Dunn ave and Turn north on Parkside Drive. Follow Parkside to Bloor and turn Left(west) to the next set of lights and turn left into the High Park. There is some parking just inside the park find a spot and walk back to entrance.
