This event is for TOC members who already have experience as badminton players. The event is NOT for beginners. If signing up, you should know the rules and etiquette of the game (including both traditional and contemporary scoring). You should know the difference between playing singles and playing doubles. You should have good to above-average playing skills. That means: you should be able to serve both "deep" and "short"; you should be able to clear the shuttlecock (bird) from the back line of your own court to the back line of the other court; you should be able to smash the bird (but not at the event organizer); and you should also have a drop-shot.

If you do not know what I am talking about, then this event is not for you. (Stay tuned, though: in the future, I might organize an event specially designed for beginners!).

After our afternoon of badminton, we will likely head out to a local establishment for some food and refreshments.

Required Items to Bring:
Well-strung badminton racquet; proper running shoes for hardwood gym floor; money for day-pass.
