Itinerary:
Avoid the craziness of Boxing Day crowds and pointless consumerism

Avoid the craziness of Boxing Day crowds and pointless consumerism. Instead, spend an invigorating winter day walking around the Toronto Zoo. On Friday December 26 the Zoo makes all admissions ½ price.

We’ll be meeting outside the Zoo main gates by the giant globe shaped like planet Earth. Look for me with a TOC sign. Then we’ll be taking part in the annual treats walk - where Siberian Tigers and Reindeer and other animals receive their seasonal goodies. Strolling Carollers, FREE Hot Chocolate following the walk (while quantities last). Please bring a non-perishable food item for the food bank.

In addition to outdoor exhibits we’ll also be checking out the hot and steamy pavilions set to mimic weather in Eurasia, Africa, and more. Lions and tigers and bears! Oh, my!

Think of it as a trip around the world in just one day. We’ll be seeing animals from all corners of the globe and all so close to home in this world class facility.

Required Items to Bring:
Weather appropriate clothing. Stuff that is easy to remove/put on 'cause of dramatic temperature difference going from indoor pavilion to outside to back indoors again.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Non-perishable food item for donation to the food bank.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:By Car Take HWY 401 to Meadowvale Road (Exit # 389)

Other 85 Sheppard East buses serve the Sheppard Avenue/Meadowvale Road intersection, where customers can transfer to 86A Scarborough buses for the short trip into the Zoo.

Both TTC bus routes that serve the Zoo, as well as Don Mills Station, Kennedy Station, and Rouge Hill GO Station, are accessible to customers who use wheelchairs or other mobility devices.
