CHASING WATERFALLS II - Tews Falls & Webster Falls (19 KM) (1/31/2026)

Itinerary:

Welcome to my Chasing Waterfalls Series (or as my friend calls it "Jason Waterfalls")
where we are hiking to different waterfalls in the GTA, which can be accessed by public transit.

This 19 KM figure 8 hike will both start and finish at Mcmaster Go Bus Station.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water.
We'll stop for lunch at the picnic area near Webster's Falls around the 10.5 KM mark.

If you cannot walk the entire distance please do not sign up for this hike.

    EVENT STATS
  • Level of hike: Intermediate
  • Distance: 19 KM
  • Terrain: Paved park paths, sidewalks and single track dirt trails.
  • Trail vs Road: 11 km vs 8 km
  • Elevation Range: 160 meters
  • Challenging Climbs of Note: 2 climbs of at least 25 meters & one climb of at least 50 meters.
  • Largest Climb: 75 meters
  • Washrooms: We'll pass a Tim Hortons about 4 KM into the hike.
  • Highlights: 'DUNDAS PEAK' , 'TEWS FALLS' & 'WEBSTER'S FALLS'

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice.

  • weather appropriate clothing

    Event Directions:

    We'll meet near the west scheduling board for the McMaster University Bus Terminal.
    If its cold or wet, then I'll just be inside one of the bus shelters.

    To get to McMaster University Bus Terminal, you have a couple of options.
    You can take the 8:47 Go Train from Union Station and then switch to the 10:05 ROUTE 15 bus over to McMaster.
    Or take the 8:35 ROUTE 47 bus from 407 Terminal / 9:15 from Square One.

    To save money on GO Transit Fare, purchase the $10 weekend pass 'BY CLICKING HERE'

    For those of you driving, the McMaster GO Bus Terminal is located at 2166 College Court in Hamilton.

    In Terms of parking, there's a parking lot (Lot I) just south of the Go Bus Terminal.
    However, this parking lot is paid.
