Itinerary:

So, trying a brand new hike in the north humber area today.

This 10.5 KM hike will both start and finish at Weston GO / UP Station.

The hike will be on a combination of paved park paths, sidewalks, single track dirt trails and grassy fields (which might be a bit wet since its winter)

In terms of hills, there should be 3 hills of 25 meters.

I'll attempt to stop for a washroom break at the skating rink at Valleyfield Park located about 4 KM into the hike.

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice.
You can find the pair I use, 'HERE ON AMAZON'.

  • How to Get There:
    Event Directions:

Weston GO/UP Station is located on the Kitchener GO Line as well as the Union Pearson (UP) Express. If you are going to come by train, I'd suggest taking the UP as it runs every 15- 20 minutes.

In terms of buses, here is a list of buses you catch to drop you off close to the station.

  • 52A/B/G from Lawrence or Lawrence West Station
  • 79A from Runnymede Station
  • 89 from Keele Station

For those of you driving, Weston Station is located on the south-east corner of Lawrence & Weston.

We'll meet just outside the main entrance doors, beside the parking lot, below the train platform.

In terms of parking, there's a GO Parking lot east side of Weston Road, south of Lawrence.

Look for me in the BLUE Toronto Outdoor Club shirt.
