Itinerary:

Starting at Victoria Park Station, will we enter the valley of Toronto and cross the eastern portion of the city until we emerge up the stairs at Queen St. E, near River St. Although it is in the valley, we won't be going off trail and will only follow the PAVED pathways. There are a couple of curiosities to see and the rest is mostly nature, following the path of the creek, until we turn south and follow beside the Don Valley Parkway. We will hike at a pace of 3.5km/hour on average, stopping occasionally and for a lunch break. The trail we'll follow will be mostly flat and level but it's long (approx. 15km) and on pavement and the pace will be somewhat swift at times. There are no stores or conveniences nearby. You should ensure you have enough water/food and good hiking shoes are a must!

At the end, the Queen Streetcar is available for a short trip to Queen and Yonge or Queen and University (Osgoode) subway stations. You can also head up Broadview to the Danforth line.
