Itinerary:
The Toronto Orienteering Club (another TOC!) offers clinics for those interested in learning about orienteering.

As a sport, this is essentially running with a map and compass for navigation. In practice, it's what keeps us from getting hopelessly lost in the woods (or landing 747s at the Island Airport.) In a beginner clinic you will learn the most basic principles of navigation as it applies to everything outside of a marked road or path.

This clinic is being offered in the morning before a full slate of competitive events and a BBQ picnic. Your cost includes entry to the short course set up throughout the conservation area.

Clinics are $30.
A compass rental is $0.50 with a $5 deposit.

Please indicate by your experience level if you want to sign up for a clinic, and I will let them know we are coming.
