Itinerary:

So, I'm planning on trying out a couple paths along the Mimico Creek that I've never been on today to continue to advance my knowledge of the city's parks and paths.
So expect a bit of exploring today and confusion.

This 13 KM hike will start at Islington Station and end at Old Mill Station.

The hike will be on a combination of sidewalks, paved park paths, single track trails, grassy fields and gravel trails.

In terms of hills, there should be about 4 climbs of at least 25 meters.

I'll attempt to stop for a washroom break at the Park Lawn Bubble Rink located about 10 KM into the hike.

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice.
You can find the pair I use, 'HERE ON AMAZON'.

  • How to Get There:
    Event Directions:

We'll meet on the north east corner of Bloor & Islington, just outside the Bloor Islington Place Place.
Its is also located just outside Islington Station.
If its cold or wet, then I'll just be inside Bloor Islington Place.

Islington Station is located on the bloor- danforth line (line 2), 1 station east of Kipling & 14 stations west of St. George Station.
Islington Station is a tough station to navigate as the signage is quite poor.
To access the meet point, exit the through the presto gates beside the collector's booth and follow the signs for Bloor Islington Place.
Continue straight down the stairs and through the tunnel to the east side.
I will either be outside or just inside the entrance to Bloor Islington Place.

For those of you driving, we're meeting on the north east side of Islington & Bloor.
In terms of parking, you can park for free after 5 PM on both Clissold Rd & Green Lanes, which are the two roads west of Islington.
