Itinerary:

So, this is my second time coordinating a meander on the Toronto Islands.

The plan today will be to traverse around the Toronto Islands, starting at Halan's Point and end near the large fountain near Centre Island & Centerville for 9.5 KM.
We'll probably stop a few times to check out points of interest

At the end of the hike, you'll have the choice to:
  • Go and continue to explore the islands on your own
  • We will be on the path that takes to you the Centre Island Ferry to get back to the city.
  • For me, I'll probably go for Ice Cream in Centreville, because I have a sweet tooth.

For those of you who do not want to complete the entire walk, you have an option of bailing

  • 3 KM in at Centre Island
  • 6 KM in at Wards Island

The entirety of this hike should be on either wide paved trails, park paths or roads.

In terms of hills, the island is pretty flat, with no climbs over 25 meters.

There will be multiple opportunities to stop for a washroom break, including at Halan's Point, Wards Island & Centre Island.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A SUBWAY CLOSURE THIS WEEKEND BETWEEN VICTORIA PARK & KENNEDY STATION
