EVENT DETAILS

THE CARPOOL LEAVES DON MILLS STATION AT 10 AM

So, this is a completely brand new hike for me today.
Haven't been here before, but it seems like an interesting trail.
So, if I fuck up, then I'll learn for next time.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water.
I'll attempt to stop for lunch by the picnic shelter, located about 6.5 KM into the hike.

If you cannot walk the entire distance please do not sign up for this hike.

    EVENT STATS
  • Distance: 12 KM
  • Terrain: Paved park paths, wide dirt trails, gravel trails and boardwalks.
  • Trail vs Road: 11 km vs 1 km
  • Elevation Range: 40 meters
  • Challenging Climbs of Note: 4 climbs of at least 25 meters
  • Largest Climb: 30 meters
  • Washrooms: Sadly none, because they aren't open till Victoria Day, sorry.
  • Highlights: 'nice walk in the woods' & 'covered bridge'

Those willing to drive, will get first priority on the wait list, should they be needed.
DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE AMOUNT OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!!!

For those of you choosing to meet at the event location, instead of the carpool, please ensure that you come on time

I’ve set the maximum event count at 1 as I don’t want to add anyone to the event until I have enough carpool drivers to accommodate passengers.
I will try accommodate up to 25 people.

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice.
You can find the pair I use, 'here from Amazon'.
