EVENT DETAILS

THE CARPOOL LEAVES KIPLING STATION (SOUTH PARKING LOT) AT 8:45 AM

This is my first time leading this particular route with the TOC.
I've led all the sections at least twice before, but never all together.
This hike will be on a combination of the Bruce Trail, its side trails and the Dofasco 2000 Trail.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water.
We'll stop for lunch beside Albion Falls, located about 11.5 KM into the hike.

If you cannot walk the entire distance please do not sign up for this hike.

    EVENT STATS
  • Distance: 22 KM
  • Terrain: Primarily, single track dirt trails, with a few paved paths mixed in.
  • Trail vs Road: 17 km vs 5 km
  • Elevation Range: 90 meters
  • Challenging Climbs of Note: 6 climbs of at least 50 meters
  • Largest Climb: 75 meters
  • Washrooms: We'll stop at a hockey arena (i know random) about 9.5 km into the hike
  • Highlights: 'Albion Falls', 'Butterm ilk Falls', 'Felkers Falls', & 'The Devil's Punchbowl'.

Those willing to drive, will get first priority on the wait list, should they be needed.
DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE AMOUNT OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!!!

For those of you choosing to meet at the event location, instead of the carpool, please ensure that you come on time

I’ve set the maximum event count at 1 as I don’t want to add anyone to the event until I have enough carpool drivers to accommodate passengers.
I will try accommodate up to 15 people.

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice.
You can find the pair I use, 'here from Amazon'.
