Urban Hike Humber River and High Park. (3/8/2008)

Itinerary:
We will be walking the Humber river path from Old Mill down to the Lake shore across the lakeshore to High park. Through High Park and along Bloor West Village. We can select a place for those who want to have some social time or to warm up. Pace will be moderate according to condition of path. (12 km)

Required Items to Bring:
Warm cloths that match the weather. Solid foot wear as the paths may be icy. Some water and a snack as there are no stores on path.

Good sense of humour and a mild sense of adventure.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:The meeting place is the Etienne Brule Park. This is one block north and one block east of the Old Mill Subway Station. Specifically when you come out of the subway the street in front is Old Mill Trails. Turning right (north) you walk a few yards north to Old Mill Road. Turn right on Old Mill Road (east) and walk about 200 yards to Etienne Brule Park. on left (north) of street. For those who are driving they can get to the Old Mill Subway station by taking the South Kingsway exit from the Gardiner if traveling from the city (Westbound) and traveling north to Bloor St. Turning left (west) on Bloor St the Old Mill Trail and Old Mill Subway is about 700 yards on the right (north). If you are traveling west on the Gardiner you need to get of at the Lakeshore Road turn left on Windermere (first street) . You then turn left (west) at the first street The Queensway. Then there is an exit ramp to the South Kingsway on your right (north). Follow instructions above.
