It was a great cool day for a hike!

First, we went to the Lake Ontario and enjoyed the view in Mary Curtis park. Then we headed north along the Etobicoke Creek. After a short stop for washrooms by a baseball field we set course on a footpath under QEW. That soon led us to a historical Middle Road bridge that once connected Mississauga and Etobicoke.

After stopping for pictures we went a little further north, but by Sherway Dr. noticed smoke and found a brush fire that was started by squatters the night before. We could not contact the fire department directly, so we called 911 and soon a Toronto FD truck showed up and took care of the smouldering materials. Meanwhile, we found a good spot to have lunch and watch the process.

After lunch we headed back south and arrived to Long Branch station without any further adventures.

Donations collected: $14.

Thanks to Aneta Z. for sending in the photos
