We arrived Friday night at Rain Lake Access point and set up camp so that we could get an early start to our trip Saturday morning. Saturday, we paddled all the way to Wenona Lake, more than 6 portages away from our departure point. It was a long and physically demanding day, we paused for lunch at Lake Jubilee, and then arrived at Wenona in the early afternoon. Wenona is a beautiful and peaceful Lake, with only one campsite on it, and a great place to relax in the summer (if you can get there!) françois had the pleasure of sleeping outside under the stars that night! Although it may not have been his first choice. Sunday, we began to make our way back to Rain Lake, making the trip out in 2 days in order to relax and enjoy our time in Algonquin to the fullest. Unfortunately, the prime sites on Lake Jubilee were already occupied for the Sunday night when we arrived, but we still managed to find one that suited us. After some tent rearrangement, we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon and a delicious dinner. We headed back to Rain Lake Monday morning and after a quick swim to clean up just before arriving, we piled back into the cars and headed back to Toronto, and back to the real world, with work and all it's other worries and tasks.
