We had eight people for today's event. The weather clouded over a little which made it perfect.

We took the Hanlan's Pt ferry and wandered around looking for butterflies. It felt very relaxed and more like a scavenger hunt. We explored various habitats from Hanland's Pt, Centre Island and Ward's Island. We did not see many butterflies at all, and no monarchs... unlike last year. There were cabbage whites, and orange (yellow) sulphur. There was also a very small butterfly about 1.5 cms but I didn't get a close look at it to have a hope of identifying it.

We ended the day with dinner at The Rectory Cafe. The food was excellent and so was the company. A great end to a fun event.

$4.00 was collected in voluntary donations.
