One of the first suggestions for becoming a new volunteer, is to lead events you have done before. It was proven valid Sunday when familiarity with the actual hike was made irrelevant by not being able to find the trail head. So we wandered a bit, through an old crop field overgrown with dandylions, thistles, and apparently a new reforestation project. Eventually, having proven Hong right in wearing pants on such a hot day, we decided to stick to the Caledon Rail Trail instead, and left the Humber Valley Heritage Trail for another day. We walked the 9.5k to Caledon East for lunch, and then returned in just under 5 hours. Despite Tom's protest, there is nothing wrong with getting scratched and dirty legs once in a while, especially when out hiking. And it didn't rain a drop, so toughen up!

Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you.
