Write Up:
What a great day for an Urban hike!!! And this was a major one, 27Km, so it got the title of the “Never-Ending Hike”. A couple of brave hikers started in High Park, were we enjoyed a nice icy warm-up full of falls. After High Park we follow the discovery walk from the lake shore to Bloor (Old Mills), where we found massive ICE blocks. Fortunately, we found a detour, and get back to our trail, despite the insane suggestion of Victor to walk over ice.

We follow the Humber trail, and gave some food to the pigeons below Dundas Street, where we also watched a brave biker going down an icy hill on his bike (actually he did not see the Ice, but still he was brave). We have lunch around Eglinton, and proceed forward passing the Ukranian Memorial and Lawrence. We crossed 401, oh yes, we have been far, and we will be further and further. That’s where the “Never-ending” hikes titles come to our minds. We tried to found some missing golf balls from the Humber Valley Club, especially after the “Non-trespassing” sign.

We got two drop-off around Albion Road. We continued our punishing hike, crossing Isglinton, Kipling and finally Marting Grove Road. Dave enjoyed a shopping car ride (mandatory from now on in urban hikes exceeding 20k). The final 1km looks bigger and bigger in every steps, but hopefully it ended at the Humber Arboretum, our next challenge was to find the way, we get lost in all the trails, trying to find the parking lot, after all the fun will not be completed without a little bit of lost. Finally, we found the parking lot!!!!

We are getting prepared for next year challenge it will be 33kilometers to Steeles Avenue!!!
