The weather delayed and in some cases prevented a few from making it out. However, those that did get to the Zoo had a great time. An irresistible slippery ice patch sat adjacent to our meet point. It proved to be the perfect diversion as we waited for others to arrive. Stanley demonstrated the importance of the perfect butt landing too.

After making our food bank donations we started out by following the Treats Walk path. Along the way we encountered camels, wild dogs, and more. The recently reopened Australasia pavilion (May '08) had a very nifty Barrier Reef display that is not to be missed.

Further along we conquered the Canadian Domain hill descent with no injuries to report. There we saw wild cougars and also learned that they sometimes are sighted at the Chick'N Deli on Bayview Ave.

Strolling back through the African Savannah, Darrel and Shannon A are unimpressed by the hyena's ability to eat 1/3 of its body weight in a day stating that they too can do the same and it ain't no thang.

Finally our winding path took us back through a few more hot, steamy pavilions where we saw gorillas and more. In all we covered just over 15KM and all had a blast. Look for this to be another TOC yearly event.
