Write Up:
David B, Linda D, and Jim O had a wonderful weekend of cycling in the Niagara region. They stayed at the Knight's Inn in downtown St. Catharine's. From there, they headed out on various rides: a ride on both ends of the Welland Canal (on one occasion starting from the Port Colborne end); and a ride from Niagara-on-the-Lake to various southerly destinations. It being his birthday weekend, Jim O cycled a total of 116 km on the Saturday! Those looking to do a similar trip in the future might want to stay at the Knight's Inn, though it can be a little noisy at night (the walls are paper thin. You can take your bikes right into the rooms. In the downtown area, there is a very good breakfast restaurant, an excellent Indian food restaurant, and a delicatessen with delicious, home-made perogies.
