Write Up:
Unlike last week, we all made it to our location on time and without losing anyone. Elliott was an excellent navigator and knew to go east on the 401 (I, Lillian, was fully prepared to go west). While waiting for the last car to arrive, David B. thoughtfully gave Linda D. something to keep her nose warm while skiing.

There were over twenty of us, so we quickly broke into several little groups depending upon how much and how hard we wanted to ski. It took a while for some of us to get going because it turns out that waxless skis are a bit of a misnomer. Apparently you still need to wax 'em. Luckily David B. brought a can of wax, which did its job.

The heavy snowfalls from earlier in the week turned the forest into a white wonderland. Mounds of luscious white snow languorously lay on the branches. More snow fell all day ensuring that winter is still with us, despite what Wiarton Willie said (Ooh, do I get points for inserting a piece of Canadian culture here?).

After a long day of skiing, as if that weren't enough exercise, Kim talked a few people into going square dancing with her after the event. At the mention of square dancing, I immediately began showing off what little of square dancing I remembered from the 5th grade. I dosado'ed with David B. and then we tried to allemande.

Others decided to go for dinner at Boston Pizza in North York. TOC dinner conversations are usually deeply meaningful and enlightening and this was no exception. While I don't remember everything that was talked about, I do remember that one topic we touched upon was the importance of having a good toaster.

You definitely don't want a malfunctioning toaster. If the toaster has the toast come out too soon, then the end result is completely unsatisfying. If the toaster takes too long, then you're just lying there waiting for it to be over, saying, "Come on, come on!" So, you definitely want a good toaster. We learned that Chuck has an impressive toaster.

A good time was had by all.
