Write Up:

Always an excellent place to hike, today was extra special. We had a sunny cool day with light breezes, the leaves were mostly off the trees and covering the forest floor.
We stopped for a short snack break on the Lookout side trail at km 3, and another short snack break on the South Outlier Loop side trail at km 10 on top of a cliff overlooking the Walter Tovell side trail in the valley.
At about km 6 we found many apple trees that still had some apples. Several hikers picked a few apples from different trees. There were several different varieties each with distinctive flavors.
Next fall I plan to do 2 hikes here to sample the apples!
