Sunny with a light breeze, the weather was ideal as our group of seven set out on a leisurely hike through the Beaches. Along the way, we admired the gardens of Glen Manor Drive; took a scenic stroll down the boardwalk (where we were treated to a live performance by local pianist James Levac); and explored the Cassels Avenue Playground in the Upper Beaches. Following the official hike, a few of us enjoyed Caribbean takeout while watching softball in the park, cheering for the team with the most colourful jerseys.
