This trip was my second TOC trip and I enjoyed it very much. It was exactly what I hoped it would be...safe and exciting. Kevin's style of leadership, for me, is exactly what I'm looking for on a trip of this nature. He isn't going to constantly police my every single move to ensure I'm always doing what I should be doing. I'm not sure how you could do that anyway when you're on a trip such as this. However, he was constantly giving us advice and a few times outright directions when that was what the situation required. He's the type of person who is constantly on watch and I cannot imagine someone being more capable in a tough situation than Kevin would be. We didn't have any real tough situations, but if we had have had one, he's the person I'd want there. He's calm and incredibly experienced and strong. As for attendees, I was especially impressed with the 4 women on our trip. They were frankly tougher than all of the men! I told my daughters all about them in the hopes that they adopt some of those traits! My only feedback for improvement would be that we perhaps should have obtained a few larger campsites on Day 1 at Achray Campground. It's not worth the savings to stay in those smaller sites. Positives include Kevin was a great leader, it was a great route, we had to overcome some great obstacles, and all the people (except one) were warm and took care of themselves and helped others. Thanks and I look forward to another trip in the near future!
