We had an exciting hike today at Short Hills Provincial Park complete with super slick clay trails, several washed out bridges, a dozen deer, and lots of wild veggies.
Beware of the eastern half of the Scarlet Tanager trail listed on some maps floating around online. This section does not seem to be maintained any more and requires several river crossings due to damaged bridges. However, despite the "Trail Closed" sign on the Northern section of the Black Walnut trail, it is indeed open and well maintained with some newly minted bridges.
Have some photos from this event that you'd like to share in our photo album? Please forward them to Erik Sonstenes at email@example.com. Please note that we prefer to receive the photos in approximately 640x480 or 750x500 pixels - do NOT send original high-res photos. If you have a LOT of photos, please submit up to twenty of your favorites (only) for a day event, or up to forty of your favourites for a multi-day event. Thank you.
