Sat, Sep 29 2007 - Head of the Trent: Watch the annual rowing regatta at beautiful Trent University (View Original Event Details)

It was a gorgeous fall day, but still warm for us to sit by the Otonabee River or to stand on the footbridge that crosses it while we watched different teams compete in the annual rowing regatta. Trent University has unique modern concrete architecture that contrasts with its glorious natural surroundings. It was a lovely relaxing afternoon in a collegiate atmosphere. There was even a HUGE lineup for the beer tent (we didn't join it, we were just amused by it). Danielle spent some time wandering around the campus where her parents first met. Peter wandered over to the starting point of the races and got lots of great photographs. Jaromir also went exploring around the campus for a while. Meanwhile, Shannon, Dorianne, Libby, Anna, Edna, Elena, Perkin, and myself just enjoyed the general beauty and atmosphere of the event and location. Another great day!
