A large crowd of Steph and Dom's closest TOC'ers and others good friends gathered at Chalkers the evening of July 21st to celebrate their engagement and wish them well. The evening started with some quiet drinks and chatting as people arived. A nearby pool table was soon used as a serving table, as Chalkers staff brought out the nibblies. It was a night filled with good conversation, and fun and games. Pool was played (with JL besting Ben in a match out of three - thanks for sinking that 8-ball, Ben!). Later on, the card sharks gathered for a couple rounds of Poker. JL and Dom were knocked out early in the match, but Alana, Mike and Steph fared much better. But soon it was down to Steph and Mike, but Steph ended up cleaning house. The debauchery continued, as Alana brought out her now infamous inflatable Dicky for the toss-off. After many tries, the contest was whittled down to Elliott, El Ray and [name], as they managed to get one ring each around their Dicky. After a hair-raising tie-breaker, El Ray came off with the prize. At the end of the night, a number of grab-bag prizes were handed out. A draw was held for a much-coveted Harry Potter book. It was won by [name], but she ever-so-nicely rescinded her prize to [name], who had eagerly read through a number of chapters during the course of the evening. It was a great evening, for an especially great reason for celebrating. Congrats once again to Steph and Dom on their engagement! -- J-L
