Los Dos Amigos Ride!!

It was a cool April morning, The week had passed with promising sunny skies, yet on the day of this ride, the heavens decided it was time to cool off. With looming threats of a thunderstorm later in the day, many a member became disheartened and decided to hunker down until the storm had passed. Only two people decided to brave the elements this day. Zoran and Jason donned their Helmets and gloves, and rode forth into the day!

The pace was quick, not because it was cool, but because these riders were on a mission. Their goal: The Snug Harbour in Port Credit. The thought of succulent Catfish and Trout, Calamari rings and a good ol’ Fashioned Stella to wash it down with was enough motivation for these two. A few breaks to along way including a good stretch of the legs by the rocky shore off the lake, and we already at our destination with time to spare! A little too early for lunch, we headed further West until the end of Port Credit, and by this time, a hearty appetite was soon to be rewarded.

The Riders dismounted and prepared themselves for a meal fit for kings and noblemen alike. The conversation was superb, as plans for the summer where discussed. Zoran even hinted at adopting a humble king so that he may send him to Europe for a fantastic adventure!

After lunch, the Duo began their quest to return to Toronto before the impending storm arrived. Their path however was difficult, as the winds from the East began to pick up pace, making the ride that much more of a challenge. But with strong hearts and determination, they concluded their ride at the Old Mill, not only satisfied that they had earned their reward for the day, but also beat out the storm, that invariably, made it to the party fashionably late.

Thanks Zoran for being a brave and hearty soul, and I look forward to riding with you once again!

Jason
