There were nine people on today's hike. It was a beautiful fall day, sunny and a high of 6C. The leaves are still on the trees and showing off their fall colours. People took lots of pictures.

I ran this event, ending at Davisville Station, on Wednesday as a night hike. People asked what the area looked like in daylight. It is a striking difference. Your eye goes to the horizon in daylight. At night, you are more aware of your footing and the pace slows somewhat, to be safer.

This route goes mostly through greenspace and, in the sun, even the birds were happy. We found fall harvest apples again today, to snack on as we hiked. At the Brickworks the birds, frogs and fish were all active. Monday's hike also went through the Brickworks and the fish & frogs were NOT active... Interesting.

Welcome to Aki; this was her first event with the TOC.

$12.00 was collected in Voluntary Donations, plus one person bought a $20.00 - 2014 badge.
