Sat, Jul 13 2013 - Hike to the St Clair W Salsa Festival (View Original Event Details)

We had 14 people on today's event. The Lower Don River Trail was dry but showed many signs of Monday's flooding, including several trees down. We spent 15 minutes at the Riverdale Farm, for a water break and for a quick look around. The baby goats are about half the size of the adults now. The rest of the hike was uneventful. We were able to find shade most of the way to St Claire Ave W.
We got to Dave's Pub in good time; nine of us stayed for lunch. The food was very good but the service was very slow. After lunch we split into three groups to walk around and enjoy the Salsa Street Festival.
Some people suggested starting earlier in the morning to "beat the heat".
