It was a beautiful day for an urban ski - super sunny, with 20 cm of fresh snow on the ground. I spotted Cara at Eglinton West subway station - we had been on the same train and identified her by the skis she was carrying. David met us after skiing to the station along the beltline.

We left the station just about on time - 10:30 a.m. We walked a couple of blocks south to Cedarvale Park and put on our skis. We took turns breaking the trail initially.

Just past the off-leash dog area, there were some tracks that other skiers had already left, and we took advantage of them where they were available.

We skied under the bridge, and up the hill through the woods to St. Clair West subway station, where we took a little tea and water break. We did a short "portage" across St. Clair and then zoomed down the hill into the ravine. There was one other extra-fun hill and some beautiful trail before we got down to Roycroft Park.

At that point, it was 12 p.m. Cara and I were hungry, so we decided to head to the Pour House for some lunch. David decided to ski back to Eglinton West station.

Thanks for a great day, both of you!
