Sun, Aug 12 2012 - Rail Trail Bike Ride: Cambridge to Brantford and Back (70 km) (View Original Event Details)

Event Coordinator(s): Jim O
Participants:Jim O, Dima L, Jun

Write Up:
Dima, Jun and I had a great ride on the Cambridge to Brantford Rail Trail today. Aside from having to circumnavigate a portion of the trail near Cambridge that was off-limits due to local construction, we found the trail in excellent condition, particularly enjoying the uphills and downhills on the Brantford end. We had rain for only about 20 minutes, during which time we donned rain-coats and had a nice conversation about health care in Canada. While Dima and Jun were speeding ahead, I got within 15 feet of a deer, which I found at the side of the trail. I was also going slowly enough, at one point, to notice a turtle at the side of the trail. Note: No donations were collected at this event.
