We met at Ginger (Vietnamese restaurant on Queen, just W of University) where some of us grabbed some needed nourishment before bravely stepping into the heat of the blazing mid day and the crowded sidewalks and streets. It was HOT!!

There streets in Kensington Market were quite busy. Lots of street vendors and groups of lively entertainers were scattered throughout, even on a rooftop. The Market area is not particularly large but there is so much to see, observe and photograph. It proved a challenge to stay together as a group, as our interests were peaked by different things. Also, all the watering holes in Kensington were too full and loud and could not accommodate a larger group like ours. Thus, after the hike, we all hiked (yes.. hiked...) few more metres... to a very nice pub.. Grossmans Tavern on Spadina for a cooling/refreshing drink. A lively blues band started to play at 4:30 and a couple of us stayed to listen for a bit.. to cap off a fine and active day.

Everyone was given a photo challenge to photograph and submit 2-3 photos to TOC website. Some suggestions of themes to capture in a photograph: Colour; People; Atmosphere. As with every art form, there are no bad photos and so everyone was encouraged to be creative. Look forward to seeing the photos soon.

$6 in voluntary donations were collected with thanks!!
