Write Up:
It was a lovely afternoon for a cycling - sunny and not too hot. We discoved that none of us had any burning desire to rack up as many kilometres as possible and that we all needed to be kind to our knees. We leisurely made our way from Old Mill down to the waterfront, chatting enroute. As we got close to the exhibition grounds there were crowds of colourfully clad pedestirans who, we learned, were part of parade to celebrate Sikhism. Around Bathurst, John pointed out that the ride back would be into the wind and therefore more of a challenge. Janice and John headed back to Old Mill to pick up Janice's car, while I headed north into the city. Discussions of "knee friendly" routes will likely lead to a few postings of such trips over the next few months. Thanks for coming out!
