A wonderful early morning hike...

Our group of 8 explorers started early on Saturday morning to hike the Leslie spit (Tommy Thompson Park). We observed many kinds of water birds along the way, and experienced the transition in the seasons. Bridges we crossed that had ice on our way to the lighthouse, were dry on the way back. At the lighthouse, we also stopped to enjoy some hot tea and have a break.

It was also very fortunate that our hike coincided with a very informative Toronto Conservation presentation on the park, it's history, and current wildlife inhabitants. It was remarkable how many wonderful people we met along the way that were willing to share their knowledge about the birds that migrate through the area.

Thank you to everyone for making our hike so wonderful.

A $5 TOC donation was collected with thanks.
