Only the 3 of us that braved the uncertain weather forecast and set out to visit the Scenic Caves snowshoe trails. And, what a fantastic day it turned out to be. It was snowing when we left Downsview and it continued to snow the whole time we were snowshoeing, a bit heavy at times. The falling snow even made it nearly impossible keep the camera lens dry and free of snow :). So, while we could not see very far from the look-outs, the snow gave the forest a much needed freshness, texture and beauty - it became a real winter wonderland, something we have not seen much this 'winter'.

We snowshoed on all of the trails and that took us about 2.5 to 3 hrs in total. All trails were very well marked and proved not to be as difficult as they sounded in their descriptions.

Thank you to Alex and Nancy for coming out and for Galina for driving. An enjoyable day was had by all.

A $2.00 TOC donation was collected with thanks.
