Write Up:
It was a beautiful fall day for a hike. What began as an overcast day become sunny and warm as we hiked.

The trails in Walker Woods are wide (at least two hikers wide), well marked and relatively flat and easy to navigate (signage for Oak Moraine and Trans-Canada Trail was very clear). The numbered posts and "Here You are Maps" greatly helped in navigating the web of trails.

Along the way, we spotted an orange salamander (photographed by Vicki) and one of the largest toads I've ever seen in Ontario.

The trails were well used: we encountered hikers, a trail runner, mountain bikers and a group on horseback.

Good to see many new members on this hike, some of them out on their first event. Planning on doing a few more moderate paced hikes during the fall as my ankle heals.

Thanks to everyone who came out.
