A great day. At about 9:10 9 of us departed Downsview for Nassawageya canyon. After arriving, we started our hike around 10:15. We hiked a combination of Bruce Trail, Bruce side trails, and Crawford Lake side trails. We stopped at a couple of lookout points to enjoy the view, and take pictures. The terrain varied from flat, almost road like, to steep, narrow and quite rocky. All with a couple of inches of snow on it. We stopped for lunch at a convenient fallen tree where we ate rather quickley and started off again before getting cold.

After lunch, we followed the trail around to Crawford Lake where we visited the reconstructed Iroquois village. The buildings were closed but we were able to walk through the village and imagine what it must have been like to live there.

We left the village and walked the boardwalk around Crawford Lake and took the trail back to the cars. We went to a local pub to warm up and have a drink and a bite to eat After a short stay there we all left, arriving back at Downsview around 5:00

I want to thank everyone who participated on this event and helped make it enjoyable for all

Special thanks to Gary for all his help.

Sincerely. Colin
