Write Up:
Lovely weather awaited an eager group of early birds just before the walk started. Doggies were hydrated, cameras readied, and away we went. A gentle stroll down Parliament took us by St James Town. Further South we saw Big Bird keeping watch over a Cabbagetown storefront. From there we passed by Riverdale Farm and the Necropolis Cemetery.

Then it was on to witness the rebirth of Regent Park. Old housing there is gradually giving way to development that promises to breathe new life into the area. Maybe then you'll finally be able to enjoy martinis outside. Onward still we passed the neat 51 Division building, Urban Amish (complete with buggie), and the Distillery District for a pit stop.

From there we continued on to the waterfront Corus building which, we learned, has a slide for employees to speed up the trip from the 3rd floor down. Adjacent to Corus is Sugar Beach. We saw the Ohio sand and lots of folks out enjoying the umbrellas and Muskoka chairs.

Beyond that it was Harbourfront for the dogs to cool off in the Natrel Pond. Then we crossed the bridge from ‘Big Fat Greek Wedding’. Onwards we went past the Paws way, H20 Park, the 400K toilet, and then finally the Music Garden.

We continued North on Bathurst past Fort York and across one of Toronto’s oldest bridges. Our group proceeded West on Adelaide then up past the new CAMH facilities. Sadly nobody spotted the elusive albino squirrels said to inhabit that area.

By this point we were all quite hungry and very glad to arrive at the Drake Hotel for their free community pancake breakfast. It was all delicious and well-received.
