Write Up:
This was a fun, midweek skate on one of Toronto's newest multi-purpose pathways! The trail is so new that it is extremely smooth and very flat... except for one hill at the end of the trail that caused a few worries and a few little falls.

We were delighted to be able one of the only people out on the pathway. We think that because the West Toronto Railpath is so new, that it is not yet discovered by Torontonians... so, please, keep it a secret! We loved having the path to ourselves! It was a beautiful evening to be inline skating -- after all of the heat and humidity, this event was on a day that was a bit cooler, which was a welcome relief.

There were 4 of us skating -- and we went a total of about 15 kilometres. The trail is only a few kilometres end-to-end, so we skated back and forth a few times to really get our hearts pumping.

Fred was by far the most expert skater, and he was fun to watch, as he performed skating tricks for us all -- skating backwards, doing the equivalent of a triple axel, and generally wowing our group and other people on the path. Anh joined the group at the last-minute, and had a great time.

For Catherine, it was her first TOC event -- welcome to the Toronto Outdoor Club!

And for Adele, this is the last inline skating event that she will be organizing for the rest of the calendar year; she'll be out of the country for work for a few months. Look for either ice skating events in the New Year, or more inline skating events next season. Thanks to everyone for a fun evening!
