Write Up:
This was a great evening skate in Toronto's east end. We started from Union subway station, and went at a leisurely enough pace so that we could enjoy conversations with each other, but also fast enough to challenge ourselves.

Parts of the path were memorable -- areas near the Leslie Street Spit several found particularly beautiful, and the lake held a very nice reflection of the sun that evening. A couple of our inline skaters lived in the east end of Toronto, so they did half of the skating loop, which was one-way from Union subway station to Woodbine Beach.

For the rest of the group who did the full loop (that is, from Union station to Woodbine Beach, and back to Union station), we have special thanks to Jean's GPS for the following statistics:

  • total distance: 18.8 kilometres
  • total moving time: 2 hours 13 minutes
  • total falls: none!

Thanks to everyone for a great evening!
