Full house and empty rink. The ice was freshly zambonied and it was pretty well exclusively TOC members that enjoyed a beautiful night for skating. Natalie provided us with some great tips and nobody took any big spills.
From there it was on to mom's place. A HDTV + basic rabbit ears = crisp clear high definition CTV coverage of the games. As we chatted and watched we learned that Finland in Finnish doesn't sound like Finland. The pizza couldn't come soon enough and the Cheesies/gummy worms proved to be a popular pre-dinner snack.
We also came up with new positions for luge like 'beak to cheek' . In any case, as a member put it so succinctly, 'lugers can't be choosers ' .
