What a nice day going out and wandering in the cherry orchard! Although Criystal and Marianna encountered a little problem with subway before getting to the carpool location, we headed to the destination just with full spirit. The Cherry Avenue Farm is so popular that many people and cars were crowded at the entrance. Fortunately after an interesting ride by a truck with towed rows of red benches, we went deep into the orchard and were surrounded by cherry trees. We took photos, picked cherries, chatted, laughed, then went out of the orchard with satisfactory harvest of cherries! Katharina suggested we go to the Farmer's Market, it's a great idea! There were homemade farm products, bakery, fruits, best of all, delicious ice cream! Seated in the cool bright sitting area, we relaxed and enjoyed our lunch. Again I was amazed by the diversity of TOC members: Crystal used to be a radio broadcaster, Yoshi's expertise in architecture and Katharina's experience in Ecuador! We went back home with expectation to do more fun events later.
