We had a great time at Frontenac and managed to beat the weather for all day Saturday! Frontenac is a very interesting park (there are a number of old reclaimed homesteads and mines in the area) with lots of points of interest along the trails.

Our trip started Friday night at Steph's packing up all our bags, and heading out for refreshments. Jenn and Trish even saw some Toronto wildlife later that night before bed!

We hiked up the Akron Lake Loop to our campsite on Birch Lake, and spend some time enjoying the sun and swimming. We had a tasty dinner, followed by a foon coven to eat dessert (yummy goo!).

The rain came that night after we were tucked away in our tents, it was perfect timing. The next day after a special breakfast of dinosaur eggs we headed off down the trail in the drizzle. Renee dazzled with us with her style and Jenn with her balancing abilities (note: don't stand on the edge of wet bridges and turn around saying 'Hey, look at that!'). Other than a deer that Rocky found, we had the trail to ourselves. At the end, we were all happy to see the car, even Rocky was tired!

Thanks to everyone for coming, we had a great group and a great time!
