One member mentioned, you couldn’t pick a better day for hiking. Indeed it was true we were treated with a beautiful sunny day. At first, we felt the brisk of wind as we waited for others in the parking lot. However, when we set off on the hike, and our hearts were pumping, the sun started to come out and some of us were working up a sweat.

Whether sunny or not, it didn’t stop Simba, the dog to join our 6 hour hike. Please see the attached picture of his dirty paws as proof. I believe he hikes 4.5 km per hour plus double round. This hike in particular is a special one as it offers a variety in one location, the Credit River, ruins, waterfalls, meadows, hills and most of us attempted the 150 steps stair case. At one point we even came across some wild creatures such as the grass snake but he was so fast that it swirled into the crack between the rocks. When we got to Belfountain Park, some of us couldn’t resist the famous ice-cream from the ice-cream shop.

I especially like to thank the drivers, Nihar, Don, Robbin and Cordelia. As I reflect on this hike, I would also like to thank the kindness of people such as Ricardo and others who helped others like Judy to finish her hike with her troubling leg. Bravo to Judy for her determination to finish the hike.

As we all split off to prepare for our Thanksgiving weekend, Don, myself, Stephanie and Judy went to the country farmers market and treated ourselves with fresh apples, hot apple cider and some warm pumpkin donuts. What a way to end a hike!
