We met at 9:30am at Eglinton West subway station, there was about 16 people in total and it was pretty hot but because most of the trail is shaded it was quite nice. It was a very nice hike of about 11 km through the heart of the city, except for the most part you would not know you were in the city, well, except for the parts where we had to cross roads or hike through the cemetery, which was cool. The pace was just right, although we had to push ourselves the last little bit to get up the stairs at the end and back to Yonge and St. Clair. We stopped at the Don Valley Brick Works and toured through the organic farmer's market which had some crafts and art as well and most of us bought our lunch there. All in all it was a great hike with a really nice group of people and we didn't even have to drive anywhere!
