Colder, but drier conditions awaited us as we gathered just outside Leslie Subway Station. The combined size and varied ages of the usual Bruce Trail group coupled with the fresh faced TOCers made for a diverse bunch of walkers indeed.

Trails proved to still be icy despite the heavy rain the night before. However, we soldiered on and made it to the first rest stop at a very nice community centre. After refueling we continued on the short remaining distance to the end point of Steeles/Leslie. There a thoughtful TTC driver on the Steeles route waited for a bunch of walkers to make the light.

All in all, it was a great day for checking out the upper Don trails. It turns out that's a section of pathways that many walkers were not familiar with beforehand.
